Remote monitoring combined with video protection is the most efficient way to protect your premises 24/7 at a controlled cost. Your systems (alarms, cameras, detectors) are connected to our receiving centre in Carouge where specialist operators handle every signal, perform alarm verification and trigger an intervention when needed.
How our 24/7 receiving centre works
Our centre operates under a strict protocol:
- Signal received in less than 3 seconds via dedicated line or IP
- Immediate alarm verification: live camera view, audio listening, on-site call
- Intervention decision based on the protocol pre-agreed with the client
- Mobile officer dispatched within 20–30 minutes in the Geneva area
- Cantonal police notification if intrusion is confirmed or there is danger
- Detailed report sent to the client with timestamps and video evidence
Our centre runs with at least two operators on duty at all times, full technical redundancy, energy back-up and a dedicated phone line.
Detection types we offer
Our systems cover a broad range:
- Intrusion detection: volumetric (passive infrared), opening contacts, glass-break, perimeter detection (beams, buried cables)
- Video protection: HD/4K IP cameras, night vision, AI analytics (presence detection, abandoned object, virtual line crossing)
- Fire and smoke detection: compliant with Swiss VKF standards
- Panic buttons: assault, medical emergency
- Technical detection: water leak, freezing, temperature (data centres, labs)

Frequently asked questions
What is alarm verification in remote monitoring?
Alarm verification is a visual or audio check triggered by an alarm. An SGP centre operator confirms the intrusion via the cameras before sending an intervention, avoiding false alerts.
How long does SGP keep video recordings?
In line with the Swiss LPD and revised nLPD (2023), we keep recordings for 30 days by default. The retention period can be adjusted to your needs and legal obligations.
Does remote monitoring replace on-site officers?
No, it complements them. Remote monitoring covers off-hours and alarms. For public filtering, flow management or immediate response, a human officer remains essential.
What types of detection do you offer?
Intrusion detection (volumetric, contact, perimeter), fire/smoke detection, panic buttons, technical detection (water leak, freezing, temperature), and AI video analytics (object and presence detection).
Does your centre really run 24/7?
Yes. The SGP centre operates 24/7, 365 days a year. At least two operators on duty at all times, full technical redundancy, secondary-site back-up.
How does camera installation work?
Our technicians do a free site survey, propose a deployment plan, install and configure the equipment (typical duration 1–3 days depending on size), then train your team on how to use it.
