Close protection (CP, often called bodyguarding) is for individuals exposed to risks of assault, kidnapping or intrusion into their private life: company executives, public figures, diplomats, wealthy families, victims of threats. SGP deploys certified close protection officers in Switzerland and abroad for discreet, professional missions tailored to the threat level.

When should I call for close protection?
Close protection (VIP/bodyguard) is for exposed individuals: business leaders, public figures, diplomats, victims of threats. It's justified as soon as an identified risk exceeds standard vigilance.
Are SGP close protection officers armed?
Carrying a firearm is strictly regulated in Switzerland. Our officers hold cantonal authorisations where needed. For most missions, close protection is delivered unarmed, through anticipation and a preventive setup.
What discretion can you guarantee?
Total. Our officers adapt to your environment: suit-and-tie in meetings, casual wear at leisure, unmarked vehicles. Their presence must be invisible to the public while remaining effective.
Do you only operate in Geneva and Valais?
Our base is in Carouge, but we operate throughout Switzerland and abroad for close protection missions. International permits and travel accompaniment are available.
How many officers for 24/7 protection?
A full 24/7 setup needs 3 to 4 officers in rotation (12h or 8h shifts), plus a mission lead. The exact number depends on the assessed threat level.
How is threat assessment carried out?
